Dunia           
An International Community of Friendship and Understanding
Meets weekly beginning Friday, September 5, 6:30-8:30pm


Each Friday, international and American friends will gather to share a meal together, meet new people, explore interesting cultural and life topics, and have fun.  Transportation is provided from various locations on and off campus.  Childcare is provided.  Click Here for more information and pick-up locations.

Conversational English Classes
Informal classes arranged throughout the week for internationals to learn and practice conversational English and adapt to American culture.  Native English-speaking volunteers will facilitate conversations on topics related to everyday life and English usage.

Social Events/Sightseeing Trips
Regular local and out-of-town activities that will allow internationals to develop friendships and enjoy American culture and attractions.  Past events have included picnics, apple-picking, sporting events, day trips, holiday parties, snow skiing, movie nights, and sightseeing trips to Chicago, Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Florida.

Apple Picking Trip  | Sat., Sept. 27 | 9am - 3pm


Friendship Partners
Internationals will be matched with American families and individuals so that mutually enjoyable friendships can develop.  Students may be invited by their American friends to visit their homes, attend family functions, and observe holidays over the course of the year.
